Should I Rent or Purchase? If properly executed, trade shows can be an integral part of a company’s overall marketing program. They offer a great opportunity for exhibitors to reinforce existing consumer relationships and to forge new ones through a company’s exhibit structure, graphic displays, and salesperson-customer interaction. In short, trade shows offer a great opportunity for companies to communicate their message to the right people about the right products at the right time. As the reason “why” to do a trade show may seem apparent, the “how” seems a little more complicated and something exhibitors spend a good part of their time trying to figure out. How big should the exhibit booth be? How many staff people do I need for my booth? How do I want my booth space to look? How much will my booth cost? One of the most important decisions exhibitors have to make, when planning a trade show, is “how” to budget the trade show exhibit. And one of the most important budgetary considerations involves the decision to either rent or to purchase. While we would love to be able to provide exhibitors with a simple answer to that question, it is obvious that the answer will depend on your specific trade show exhibit needs. Before an exhibitor can even start to consider which option to go with, one must first consider some of the advantages and disadvantages associated with renting a trade show exhibit vs. purchasing a trade show exhibit. Let’s take a look! |
