Exhibits and Displays for Museums, Historical Societies and Halls of Fame
Adler Display has built exhibits in Baltimore for over 80 years. Our museum work includes the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum, the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum and the Bilderback-Moore Navy Lacrosse Hall of Fame. We work with directors, curators, operations managers and the people who sign the purchase order. They need an exhibit that opens on schedule, stays on budget and still looks good years from now.
How We Work With Museums
-
- Scope and budget review. We start with your space, your story, your opening date and your budget. Then we recommend an approach that fits all four. You get a clear, itemized quote before design begins.
- Design and approvals. Our designers create layouts and proofs for your curators, director and board. We revise until every stakeholder signs off.
- In-house fabrication. We build at our Baltimore facility, so quality, cost and schedule stay under one roof. You won’t be managing a chain of subcontractors.
- Installation. Our crew installs on site and works around your hours, your visitors and your collection.

What We Build for Museums
One partner handles design, fabrication and installation. That means one contract, one point of contact and one team accountable for the result. We’ve delivered everything from a single exhibit refresh to a complete gallery build-out. Our museum solutions include:
- Custom museum exhibits for permanent galleries and rotating shows
- Historical timelines that walk visitors through a person’s, place’s or organization’s story
- Interactive displays and touchscreens that let visitors dig deeper
- Signage and graphics for exhibit labels, interpretive panels and object text
- Wayfinding and ADA signage that guides visitors through your galleries
- Donor recognition walls that honor the supporters who fund your mission
- Wall of fame displays for halls of fame and athletic museums
- Visitor center exhibits and digital wallcoverings for lobbies and entry spaces
Common Museum Projects We Build
Most of our museum work falls into three types of projects. Each one has its own requirements for visitors, collections and long-term upkeep.

Permanent Gallery Exhibits and Refreshes
Your collection deserves more than a row of cases and labels. We weave objects, graphics and text into a story that educates and engages visitors. Some will read every panel and others will only skim. We design for both, keeping key information easy to find and adding layers for visitors who want more. A refresh can update an existing gallery for less than a full rebuild.

Historical Timelines and Interpretive Walls
Timelines turn decades of history into a single, walkable story. We plan the layout, research hierarchy and dimensional elements so your timeline reads clearly from across the room and up close. Layouts can leave room to add new milestones over time.

Halls of Fame and Recognition Displays
Halls of fame and donor walls need to grow as your inductee and supporter lists grow. We build them with changeable panels / digital screens so adding a name doesn’t mean replacing the whole display. We use materials built for high-traffic halls, so your investment lasts for years.
Recent Museum Projects

Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, Baltimore
Several Maryland artists, each with their own sizes, mounts and point of view, all in one two-year exhibit for America’s 250th. See how we made it read as one story.

Historical Society of Carroll County, Westminster
A historic exhibits hall that also has to work as an event space. Our custom wood cases match the period room and light the artifacts warmly, and they don’t stay in the way when it’s time for an event. See how.

Tell us about your space, your timeline and your budget. We’ll help you plan an exhibit that works on all three.
