Clever Ways to Save Big on Your Next Trade Show

In the digital age, face to face marketing is more important than ever. It’s a chance to get out of the office, put down our screens, and make real connections with decision makers that are increasingly hard to reach. We keep seeing clients consistently attending more trade shows and increasing their show budgets, successfully attracting more business and staying impactful.

With increased budgets, thought, comes increased scrutiny and responsibility. Are you making you marketing dollars go as far as they can? What options will provide the best ROI for users and consumers? Here at Adler, we have a few recommendations for our clients who actively want to save money.

1. Early bird gets the savings

Planning out your show schedule for the year lets you get a jump start on a lot of paperwork. Make sure you note dates for turning in forms to order your show services and you can catch a hefty break compared to waiting until the day of.

2. Literature and Promo Items

Don’t forget about the small items that really complete the booth. If these are ordered ahead of time, it can reduce a lot of stress. You can also save on shipping, both from the printer and on the way to the show. Just ask your project manager to ship your materials with your exhibit and kill two birds with one stone.

3. Assemble Ahead of Time

While we have an experienced team of exhibit fabricators and builders who can do it for you, if you put up your own booth, you might have gotten rusty since the last time you used it. Try to find enough space in your office to do a preliminary set up of the booth. Look for torn or dirty graphics, broken or missing pieces, or faults that might waste your time. Nothing kills a reasonable budget like overnighting parts or graphics to the show.

4. Partner Up

Consider reaching out to your suppliers or other companies in your industry who aren’t direct competitors. You can share show advertising, co-host events, or work out other mutually beneficial arrangements.
