Don’t Forget Content is King in Displays Too!

Content is king in the marketing realm. To drive profitable consumer action, you must distribute valuable, relevant, and consistent information.  As consumers, we are resistant to traditional advertising, and would rather research and navigate our own findings about a product.  By providing industry content, you are earning credibility and creating a connection to the consumer in need.

You may be wondering if content marketing applies to your lobby display, trade show display, or store display.  The answer is, yes!

We live in a fast-paced visual world, it’s important to have quick thought-provoking material incorporated into your display to catch the attention of consumers.  The success of your signage and display are majorly dependent on content.  The consumer could care less what material your display is made out of, or how the LED screen is attached.  They want to see informational content and how it can better them.

With today’s innovative technology, creating high-quality animation and interactive content is fairly simple.  Integrating this technology and programming into your display is extremely important to grabbing the consumer’s attention; a simple slideshow or a non-touch screen just isn’t cutting it anymore.  Consumers have information at their fingertips, and if you don’t provide applicable content upfront, they will move along to the next best thing.

Content is meaningless if you don’t convey a message.  Present an obvious ‘call-to-action’ of why the consumer should interact with your display.   Tell them about your product and the next steps to take to get involved, including contact information, store locations, or email invitations to learn more.  Keep the content fluid and easy to navigate, guiding the consumer from one product to the next.

Digital animations and touchscreens are here to stay, so use that to your advantage by creating interactive information, such as digital catalogues.  Helping the consumer determine what is best suited for them via price and product comparisons will ultimately help you to sell more.  Displaying content in a digital format gives you the power to stay relevant for the consumer.  Material, menu items, event dates, product changes can be updated immediately, making you the first to share the information.

Designing the display around content is your first step to success, and driving profitability.  The display can highlight specific content through the structural build with dimensional logos, eye-catching graphics, and backlit walls.  Here are 4 steps to taking your custom display from concept to success!
