When it comes to trade shows, events, and conferences, the perfect booth design can do wonders to showcase your business’ products and services.
If you’re new to the trade show circuit, you may need guidance on where to start or what to consider. At Adler Display, our experienced team can help you to create a stand-out exhibit for your next event.
Use the six tips below to get started on the perfect booth design for your company’s specific needs.
1. Define your goals.
To begin, clarify your booth’s primary purpose. What is the goal of your display? Is it to reinforce brand awareness, attract recruits, or generate sales leads? Aligning your goals with your booth design is the key to a cohesive and impactful presence.
2. Know the booth types.
There are four universal trade show booth types for you to be aware of: linear booths; perimeter booths; peninsula booths; and island booths. Familiarizing yourself with the standard booth types will help you to make informed decisions when creating your perfect design. Your budget, display needs, and venue-based limitations such as line of sight rules and height restrictions will also play a role in your selection.
- Inline or Linear booths are the most common and cost-effective choice in trade shows. Positioned in the center of the trade show floor with neighboring booths on three sides, this type of trade booth typically has a standard size of 10′ by 10′ and a single entry point from the front. One exception to this is a linear booth at the end of an aisle which has entry points from the corner side, as well.
- Perimeter Inline booths are typically 10′ by 10′ or 10×20 and form a literal perimeter around the rest of the trade show. The back of the booth is set up against the showroom wall rather than against another booth. This setup may allow you to have a taller display than you would in a linear booth setting.
- Peninsula booths make up the end row of the standard booths. Typically, they measure 20′ by 20′ or greater and allow attendees access to both the front and sides of the booth. Peninsulas are pricier than the two smaller booth types because of their larger size and additional access points.
- Island booths are so named because they are centered in the middle of the showroom floor. These booths are typically 20′ by 20′ or larger. Attendees can access your booth from all sides. This option comes at a premium due to its size and prime location in the showroom.
3. Maximize your space.
Think beyond the horizontal by incorporating vertical elements into your booth design. Doing so can be a game-changer, especially when navigating limited space. Banners, backdrops, and towering structures can serve as focal points, establishing clearly defined areas for product demonstrations, interactive experiences, or engaging presentations. These vertical elements not only make efficient use of space but also contribute to visual impact and brand visibility.
4. Elevate your wow factor.
Leave a lasting impression with a captivating custom display. A custom display goes beyond the ordinary, offering a distinctive and refined aesthetic that sets your brand apart from the competition. With meticulous attention to detail, premium materials, and expert craftsmanship, a custom display conveys a sense of professionalism, reliability, and trustworthiness to your target audience.
5. Stay flexible with a modular display.
Experience the ultimate convenience of a modular display. Designed with interchangeable components such as panels, frames, graphics, connectors, and accessories, these displays offer effortless assembly, disassembly, and reconfiguration. The modular nature of these displays allows you to adapt and customize your booth to suit various venues and exhibiting opportunities, ensuring that your display remains relevant and cost-effective.
6. Illuminate your offerings.
There are several lighting options to consider when illuminating your booth space. Strip lighting, known for its versatility and flexibility, can be effortlessly integrated into your booth structure, accentuating specific elements or creating a vibrant ambiance. Incorporating color into lighting allows you to infuse your display with a captivating atmosphere, evoking emotions and reinforcing your brand identity. Spotlights are ideal for highlighting key products or focal points, drawing attention and emphasizing their importance. Backlighting, on the other hand, adds depth and dimension to graphics or signage, creating an alluring visual effect.
