Project of the Month: Delaware Department of Natural Resources

Jul 23, 2024 | Articles, Project of the Month

Adler Display recently collaborated with the DNREC to design and create engaging educational displays for the Delaware State Fair. These exhibits are housed in a permanent building on the fairgrounds, providing visitors with year-round access to informative content about Delaware’s natural heritage.

The displays were crafted to offer an immersive and informative experience for fairgoers of all ages. Each exhibit was carefully designed to balance visual appeal with educational content, ensuring visitors easily absorb key information about Delaware’s diverse wildlife and outdoor activities.

The “Hunting, Fishing, and Trapping” exhibit showcases the state’s rich traditions in the area. It includes information on conservation efforts and the economic impact of these activities on Delaware.

The “Birds of Prey” display features information about various raptor species found in Delaware, their habitats, and their roles in the ecosystem. This exhibit includes life-sized models to give visitors a close-up view of these magnificent birds.

The “Venomous Snakes” exhibit is both an educational tool and a safety resource. It informs visitors about the venomous and non-venomous snake species found in Delaware, their habitats, and how to safely coexist with these important ecosystem members.

By creating these permanent exhibits, Adler Display and the DNREC established a lasting educational resource that will inform and inspire Delaware State Fair visitors for years to come. These displays not only enhance the fair experience but also promote awareness and appreciation of Delaware’s natural resources and wildlife.
