Preserving a Legacy of Service: MCFRS Historical Timeline Display
Adler Display collaborated with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) to create an engaging historical timeline display at their headquarters, chronicling over a century of dedicated public service and organizational evolution. The comprehensive exhibit spans two walls, each telling a distinct chapter in the department’s rich history.
The left wall traces the development of Local Fire and Rescue Departments across Montgomery County, beginning with the incorporation of the Silver Spring Volunteer Fire Department in 1918 and following the expansion of emergency services by establishing the Germantown Volunteer Fire Department in 1981. This visual narrative showcases the growth of emergency response capabilities throughout the county’s communities.
The complementary right wall illustrates the Evolution of Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service from the 1920s to the present day, depicting the transformation of equipment, techniques, and organizational structure that have shaped MCFRS into the modern emergency service organization it is today.
This dynamic timeline installation is both an educational tool and a tribute to the department’s continuing legacy of public safety and service.
